The former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has demanded that a southerner must succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Fayose also tweeted in Yoruba language saying “awa south lo kan” which means “it is the turn of the south”, a reference to the ‘catchphrase’ attributed to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress.

In Borno state, 314 Terrorists were said to have surrendered to troops in Bama Local Government Area of the state as a result of the ongoing onslaught against terrorism in the North East.
