Atiku, Obi, Shettima Discuss Nigeria, Proffer Solutions at NBA Conference

Leading presidential candidates and their representatives, among others on Monday attended the annual general conference of the Nigerian Bar Association in Lagos, with messages bordering on the 2023 elections and the role of the judiciary in the sustenance of Nigeria’s democracy.

The Conference attracted huge turnout of not just lawyers but also politicians, thought leaders, policy makers, business icons, the civil society and others who love to identify with the learned community.

Among top politicians who attended the conference are Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Kashim Shettima, who represented Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress.

Others include the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Dumebi Kachikwu and his Social Democratic Party counterpart, Adewole Adebayo.

The event themed, “Bold Transitions” addressed the issue of metamorphosis in the judiciary and the nation as a whole, on all fronts.

Speakers took turns to bare their minds on specific areas which the nation must focus on, and make necesary transitions for a better future. Issues ranging from insecurity, unemployment healthcare, education dwindling economic fortunes are pinned on poor leadership which Nigeria has continued to witness over the years.
