Ooni, Nwachukwu and Faloughi-Spiff are among dignitaries expected at Sunday’s Rotary Club of Bourdillon Prestige investiture in Lagos.

His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife; His Highness (Dr.) Ephraim Fagha Faloughi-Spiff II; and former External Affairs Minister, Maj. Gen. Ike Nwachukwu (rtd), are among dignitaries expected at the Rotary Club of Bourdillon Prestige Charter President Investiture Ceremony on Sunday in Lagos.

Also expected at the event are the Chairman and Founder, DSE Foundation, Chief Tunde Fanimokun; and Superintendent, Naval Dockyard Ltd, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Shehu.

The investiture ceremony of the Rotary Club of Bourdillon Prestige Charter President, Rotarian Winifred Ebiye, alongside the induction of the Board of Directors and a fundraising gala, is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 3 p.m. at the Naval Dockyard, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to Ebiye, the event would bring together prominent figures from the traditional institution, government, military, business and humanitarian sectors in support of Rotary’s service-oriented mandate.

She said the Ooni of Ife would serve as the Royal Majesty of the Day, while Faloughi-Spiff II would be the Royal of the Day.

Nwachukwu, she added, would deliver the keynote address, while Fanimokun would chair the occasion.

The Special Guest of Honour is Rear Admiral Shehu, Superintendent of Naval Dockyard Ltd, while the Rotary International District 9112 Governor, Rotarian Layi Abidoye, is the Chief Host.

The investiture will also provide an opportunity for the club to rally support for its humanitarian and community development initiatives, with the leadership calling on Rotarians, friends of Rotary and philanthropists to support its service projects.

Speaking on the focus of the initiative, CP Abiye urged Rotarians, friends of Rotary and philanthropists to support the club’s humanitarian and service projects covering Rotary’s seven areas of focus.

According to her, the projects are designed to deliver sustainable interventions and create lasting impact in communities.

“The selfless projects are aimed at transforming and creating lasting impact in our community, such as improving basic education and literacy; provision of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); and environment, among service projects,” she said.

The club’s service initiatives are expected to place particular emphasis on interventions capable of improving living conditions and strengthening community resilience.

The fundraising gala, which forms part of the investiture programme, is expected to mobilise resources for the implementation and expansion of the club’s humanitarian projects.

With the participation of eminent traditional rulers, senior military officers, public figures and philanthropists, the event is positioned not only as a leadership transition within the Rotary Club of Bourdillon Prestige, but also as a platform for advancing its community service agenda.

The club said the projects would seek to translate Rotary’s humanitarian principles into practical interventions that address pressing needs in education, water and sanitation, environmental sustainability and other priority areas.

Rotarian Ebiye is expected to formally assume the leadership of the club during the investiture, with the induction of the Board of Directors setting the framework for the administration’s service programmes.

The ceremony will culminate in the fundraising gala, providing an opportunity for members, guests and supporters to commit resources towards the club’s identified projects and broader humanitarian objectives.
