Marwa Visits Injured NDLEA Officers After Dawaki Mob Attack

Marwa vows to arrest and prosecute suspects behind attack on NDLEA officers during Dawaki drug raid.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has visited two officers injured during a mob attack in the Dawaki area of the Federal Capital Territory.

The officers, Ayegh Zachariah and Shehu Ibrahim, are receiving treatment at the National Hospital, Abuja.They were attacked while taking part in a raid on a drug joint in Dawaki on May 15, 2026.

During the visit, Marwa sympathised with the officers and assured them of full medical support until they recover. He also vowed to arrest and prosecute those behind the attack.

“The Agency will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that those responsible for this attack are arrested and brought to justice,” Marwa said.

The NDLEA boss praised the officers for their commitment and courage during the operation. He said their efforts remain important in the fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse.

Marwa presented the injured officers with Letters of Commendation and support packages to aid their recovery. He also commended NDLEA medical personnel and doctors at the National Hospital for responding quickly to the emergency.

Marwa restated the agency’s commitment to tackling drug trafficking and shutting down drug networks across the country.
