Autonomous freight company Gatik has raised $200 million in a funding round led jointly by Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies, as it expands its driverless trucking operations across North America.
Millennium Management, ARK Invest and Intact Private Capital also participated in the investment.
Gatik said it has secured more than $600 million in contracted revenue and completed 85,000 fully driverless deliveries across its operations.
The company said the new funding will support the expansion of its commercial operations and autonomous fleet, while financing further development of its technology, infrastructure and workforce.
“We have grown Gatik through strong revenues, substantial customer demand, and AI-powered autonomous systems that operate reliably across real-world supply chains,” said Gautam Narang, Gatik’s chief executive and co-founder.
Gatik operates autonomous freight routes connecting distribution centres with retail stores in Texas, Arizona and Arkansas in the United States, as well as in Canada.
The company plans to have more than 100 driverless trucks in operation by the end of 2026, according to a company spokesperson.
Gatik has not disclosed its latest valuation but said its autonomous technology is being deployed across major supply chains in North America, including operations involving PepsiCo in the United States and Loblaw in Canada.
Qatar Investment Authority’s head of industrials, Abdulla Al-Kuwari, said autonomous freight is transforming global logistics by improving operational performance and reliability.
The latest investment comes as companies increasingly turn to autonomous trucking technology to improve freight efficiency and meet growing demand for commercial transportation.
