Drake Breaks Michael Jackson’s Record With 14th Solo Male No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

Drake surpasses Michael Jackson after “Janice STFU” debuts atop Billboard Hot 100, extending multiple chart records worldwide.

Drake has broken Michael Jackson’s record for the most Billboard Hot 100 number-one songs by a solo male artist after Janice STFU debuted at the top of the chart.

The achievement gives Drake his 14th No. 1 single, tying him with Rihanna and Taylor Swift for the third-highest number of chart-toppers overall.

Only Mariah Carey with 19 and The Beatles with 20 have more.

Drake also set another Billboard record after placing 42 songs on the Hot 100 in a single week, surpassing the previous mark held by Morgan Wallen.

Wallen had earlier recorded 37 entries in one week, while Drake’s previous personal best stood at 27 songs in 2018.

Across this week’s top 10, Drake occupies nine positions, with only Ella Langley’s Choosin’ Texas remaining outside his dominance at No. 5.

The latest chart performance also extends Drake’s career total to 90 top-10 songs on the Hot 100.

He has additionally become the first artist in Billboard history to surpass 400 career entries on the chart.

The records follow the release of Drake’s three albums — Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti — released simultaneously on May 15.

Drake had teased Iceman for nearly two years through livestream previews before announcing two surprise companion albums shortly before release.

The albums also made chart history after debuting at numbers one, two and three on the Billboard 200.

Iceman earned 463,000 equivalent album units, giving Drake his 15th Billboard 200 chart-topper.

That achievement pushed him past Jay-Z for the most No. 1 albums among solo male and hip-hop artists.

Drake now also ties Taylor Swift for the most Billboard 200 No. 1 albums by a solo act, trailing only The Beatles’ record of 19.
