China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi is set to embark on an official visit to Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway from July 2 to July 8, as Beijing seeks to deepen diplomatic engagement with the Nordic region.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry during a routine press briefing.
During the week-long trip, Wang is expected to hold separate meetings with the foreign ministers of each of the four countries to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
Chinese officials said the visit forms part of Beijing’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to strengthen cooperation with European partners and maintain dialogue on regional and global affairs.
Although the Foreign Ministry did not release a detailed agenda, the talks are expected to cover political, economic, and international issues affecting China and the Nordic countries.
The visit comes as China continues to engage with European countries through high-level diplomatic exchanges aimed at expanding cooperation and addressing shared global challenges.
