Air Peace Welcomes First Brand-New Embraer E175 To Boost Fleet And Route Network

Air Peace takes delivery of its first brand-new Embraer E175, expanding fleet capacity and strengthening domestic and regional connectivity.

Air Peace has taken delivery of its first brand-new Embraer E175 aircraft, strengthening its fleet and expanding its capacity to serve domestic, regional and international routes.

The airline said the arrival marks another step in its fleet modernisation programme as it continues to invest in newer, fuel-efficient aircraft to improve passenger experience and operational performance.

The 88-seat aircraft, registered as 5N-CGH, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at 8:32 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, after a ferry flight from Brazil. The aircraft was officially handed over to an Air Peace delegation by aircraft manufacturer Embraer following the completion of production.

Designed for short-to-medium-haul operations, the Embraer E175 features an all 2-2 seating configuration, eliminating middle seats and giving every passenger either a window or aisle seat. It also offers leather seats, increased legroom, larger overhead baggage bins, bigger windows and a quieter cabin.

Air Peace said the aircraft also delivers improved fuel efficiency, lower carbon emissions and quieter operations, supporting its commitment to sustainable aviation while maintaining high safety and reliability standards.

Speaking on the arrival of the aircraft, Air Peace spokesperson, Mr Efe Osifo-Whiskey, described the delivery as another milestone in the airline’s long-term expansion strategy.

According to him, “The arrival of our brand-new Embraer E175 represents far more than the addition of another aircraft to our fleet. It reflects Air Peace’s unwavering commitment to continuous investment in modern aviation assets that improve operational efficiency, strengthen route connectivity, and elevate the overall travel experience for our passengers.

“The Embraer E175 is ideally suited for our domestic and regional operations, offering the flexibility to efficiently serve existing routes while opening new markets with optimal capacity. For our passengers, this means greater schedule reliability, increased flight frequencies, enhanced onboard comfort, and the premium travel experience they have come to expect from Air Peace.

“As we continue to expand our network across Nigeria, West Africa, Central Africa, and other international destinations, this aircraft further positions us to respond to growing passenger demand while contributing meaningfully to economic development, regional integration, tourism, and intra-African connectivity.”

The airline said the addition of the Embraer E175 reinforces its investment in a younger fleet as it expands operations across Nigeria, West Africa, Central Africa and other international destinations.

Air Peace added that the new aircraft strengthens its commitment to providing safe, reliable and affordable air travel while improving connectivity for passengers and businesses across its network.
