Director-General of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu has warned citizens to be more responsible in adhering to covid safety protocols rather than worry about the B.1.617 India variant.
Dr Ihekweazu who leads an agency responsible for controlling and preventing communicable diseases said there’s no point in Nigerians attending weddings that are super spreader events without masks and worrying about the emergence of a variant.
The epidemiologist and public health physician stated this when he appeared on an ARISE News programme, The Morning Show.
