The father of Timileyin Ajayi, the gospel singer who confessed to killing his girlfriend, on Monday, pleaded for the release of his son.

The gospel singer was arrested last week after he was found with the severed head of his alleged girlfriend, Salome Adaidu in a polythene bag.

Ajayi had confessed to killing Adaidu out of anger after he discovered that she allegedly cheated on him, he also admitted that he was not remorseful about killing her.

Ajayi’s father during an interview, on Monday, pleaded with the Nigerian government to intervene and help his family resolve the matter.

A former minister of foreign affairs, Bolaji Akinyemi on Monday, advised President Bola Tinubu to avoid confrontation with the newly inaugurated 47th president of the United States, Donald Trump.
