A Service of Songs and Night of Tributes was held for Retired Commissioner of Police, Chief (Barrister) Matthew Egwuenu, at the Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos on April 6, 2026.2

Chief Egwuenu was the father of celebrated ARISE News Anchor, Ojy Okpe, which explains the star power in the room – from state governors to business icons, media moguls to celebrities.
