The founding Pastor of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome caused a frenzy on social media over the weekend, after he claimed that his ministry has resurrected over 50 individuals from the dead,within the past year.

Addressing his congregation in a now viral video, the pastor revealed; that the resurrections occurred across different nations and involved both young and old individuals. The pastor further stated, that some of these remarkable events transpired within hospital premises, and were witnessed by bewildered nurses and doctors.

The release of 137 schoolchildren, abducted from Kuriga community, in the Chikun Local government area of Kaduna state continues to generate reactions among a cross section of Nigerians.

On Monday, the schoolchildren arrived at the government house in Kaduna, after undergoing medical checks and were received by the state Governor, Uba Sani. The federal government says no ransom was paid to secure the release of children. The minister of information and national orientation, Mohammed Idris made the announcement at the state house in Abuja.

The video was originally posted on Tiktok by a user with over 3,000 followers, Zagazola Makama, an independent, counter-terrorism network covering Terrorism activities in the Lake Chad region reposted the video with the caption, Audacity: Bandit on Tiktok flaunting and showing off ransom money he collected from his victims. In Kano state, the government says it earmarked over N1 billion Naira for Ramadan feeding in the state contrary to N6 billion Naira being reported.

The development comes after the Apc asked the Kano state government to account for the N6 billion Naira purportedly disbursed for the Ramadan feeding. In Lagos state, amidst the hardship, Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Adetokunbo Abiru who turned 60 on Monday, used the occasion of his birthday to reach out to vulnerable members of his Senatorial district, by donating over 10,000 Food Packs to Cushion the economic hardship.

The Senator, who is said to have been supporting the needy with food packs every quarter, also gave out bags of rice to residents across 98 wards in the 16 Local Council Development Areas and Local Government Areas of his district. Widows, Persons Living with Physical Disabilities, Unemployed Youths, Women and the elderly all benefited from the distribution.

In Bauchi state, a stampede occurred during an almsgiving zakat exercise for the poor, leading to the death of seven persons. The incident occurred when residents had gathered to receive N10,000 Naira each, generously provided by a philanthropist.
