Pakistan has stepped up efforts to encourage progress in peace talks between the United States and Iran, as Tehran reviewed Washington’s latest responses while President Donald Trump signalled he could wait a few days for what he called “the right answers” from Iran.
Trump, however added that he was willing to resume attacks on Iran if necessary, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding the fragile diplomatic process.
The renewed push comes six weeks after unstable ceasefire took effect, with talks aimed at ending the war showing little progress.
The slow pace of negotiations has raised global concerns, especially as soaring oil prices continue to fuel fears over inflation and possible effects on the wider global economy.
