Otedola’s Faculty of Engineering Building Commissioned in Augustine University Epe

“My dream is to support Augustine University to become the number one centre of excellence in Africa for the study of the various disciples of Engineering,” Otedola said.

The Lady Doja Otedola Faculty of Engineering building in Epe, Lagos State, was commissioned in Augustine University on the 22nd of February, 2023.

The building was donated by Mr Femi Otedola, who is also the Chancellor of Augustine University, and named after his mother, Lady Doja Otedola.

It was commissioned by the founder, Anthony Cardinal Olubumni Okogie, who was unavoidably absent, in the presence of Most Reverend (Dr.) Alfred Adewale Martins.

During his speech, Mr Femi Otedola (CON) expressed his gratitude to his mother. “I give credit to her for this project,” he said. “She put me under tremendous pressure.” He then acknowledged others who were instrumental to the completion of the project.

He stated, “My dream is to support Augustine University to become the number one centre of excellence in Africa for the study of the various disciples of Engineering.”

In addition to this historic feat, the first turning of the soil for the second building of the faculty of engineering was carried out by Lady Doja Otedola, after she cut the tape of the newly commissioned building.

The newly built faculty of engineering was built on three floors, and comprises of thirty partitioned classrooms, five lecture rooms, two laboratories, and one library. This building is the first of four plots, and the building for the second plot, that is, the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has commenced. This will be followed by the buildings of Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering respectively.
