Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday relieved two ministers of their duties.
The Ministers leaving the cabinet are Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohammed Sabo Nanono, and Minister of Power, Sale Mamman.

Mr Buhari said the move to reshuffle his cabinet has become imperative as his administration approaches its critical phase in the second term.

“Change is the only factor that is constant in every human endeavor and I have found it essential to reinvigorate this cabinet in a manner that will deepen its capacity to consolidate legacy achievements,” the president said in a statement to cabinet members on the reshuffle of the federal executive council.

The Nigerian leader said substantive nominations will be made in due course to fill the consequential vacancies in accordance with the requirements of the constitution.
