Japan PM Fumio Kishida To Meet With Facebook’s  Zuckerberg on AI

The Meta will also visit South Korea, where he will engage with Samsung Chairman, Jay Y. Lee, and possibly South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Japan’s Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, has announced a scheduled meeting with Meta Platforms Chief Executive, Mark Zuckerberg, on Tuesday. 

The focus of the meeting is reported to be an exchange of views on artificial intelligence (AI).

This move comes amid growing interest in AI collaboration, as recent reports hinted at Zuckerberg’s upcoming visit to South Korea at the end of February. 

The Facebook operator, Meta, confirmed that discussions on AI are expected during Zuckerberg’s visit to South Korea, where he will engage with Samsung Electronics Chairman, Jay Y. Lee, and possibly meet South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Japan’s government and corporate sector have been actively working to bridge the gap in AI development, recognizing its strategic importance. 

The meeting between Kishida and Zuckerberg underlines Japan’s commitment to fostering international partnerships in the realm of artificial intelligence.
