He said numerous documents had been forensically examined and found to be forgeries.

Liborous Oshoma, however, said that the 27 defectors ceased to be members of the Rivers House of Assembly once their seats were declared vacant.

He commended President Tinubu for providing succour to Ondo State “at our critical time of cloud and need”.

“The government will ensure there is peace and stability for all Nigerians including Rivers State, but you can’t say that this is a creation of the federal government.”

He also called on president Tinubu to intervene in the crisis rocking the state and also to call Wike to order.

The budget was presented to five members of the House, without the 27 others that recently defected to the APC from the PDP.

The APC lawyer also revealed he takes briefs from PDP members, as APC didn’t give him any briefs.

It said they’ve lost their rights to the seats as members of the state house of assembly.

The legislators gave the divisionqa within the PDP as the reason for their defection.

“He must resign as a minister. He cannot hold the two offices at the same time,” says PDP’s Ologunagba.

“Mr. President, I think there is need to act fast because we have seen that despite your good intentions, the crisis is brewing much tension rather than abating.”

The retired field marshal overthrew Morsi in 2013 to become the fifth president from the Egyptian army, before landslide victories in 2014 and 2018 with 96% of the vote.

While LP was not involved in the meeting, the party said it will consider the merger if it becomes an option.

“Good governance has taken flight in Ondo State, democracy seems to be something we are looking for.” he said.

He promised that the region would return Tinubu for a second term.

Their participation is very important and not a jamboree, responded a presidential aide.
