Cardi B, the Grammy-winning rapper, has disclosed her separation from husband Offset, expressing her desire for “a new beginning.” In an Instagram Live clip shared by a pop culture account, Cardi B addressed her fans, revealing that she has been single for a while and is eager to embark on a fresh start in 2024.
The announcement suggests a potential end to the five-year marriage of Cardi B and Offset, a rapper from the group Migos. Offset has not publicly commented on the reported split.
During the Instagram Live session on Sunday night, Cardi B shared her thoughts with followers, acknowledging that subtle clues may have been noticed through her social media activities. She expressed her excitement about the prospect of a new life and beginning in 2024, emphasising her curiosity and enthusiasm for the change.
The revelation comes after rapper Blueface accused Offset of having an affair with his ex-partner, which Offset promptly denied on Twitter, stating, “I ain’t never talk or touch that lady.”
Reports of the couple unfollowing each other on Instagram last week had already fueled speculation about potential relationship troubles.
Cardi B and Offset, known by their legal names Belcalis and Kiari Cephus, have experienced a tumultuous relationship since their marriage in 2017. They confirmed their separation in December 2018 but later reunited. In September 2020, Cardi B filed for divorce, only to call it off after reconciling with Offset. The couple shares two children, six-year-old daughter Kulture and two-year-old son Wave.
