Germany has agreed to return 1,130 Benin artefacts that were stolen from Nigeria during the colonial era, from as far back as 1897.

What should be a celebration of victory after many years of hard work to retrieve these monumental pieces of history has escalated into rancour between the Oba of Benin and the Edo State Government on who the bonafide custodian should be.

Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Benin Chief, Charles Edosowan weighed-in on the conversation during ARISE News Mornimg Show on Sunday.
