Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Germany defender Nathaniel Brown from Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt, with the 23-year-old putting pen to paper on a five-year contract that runs until June 2031.
Brown said joining Bayern was a dream opportunity and expressed his pride at signing for one of the world’s biggest clubs.
“Bayern is one of the best clubs in the world. It means so much to me to have the chance to play for this club and it fills me with pride,” he said.
Bayern sporting director, Max Eberl said the club had monitored Brown for some time and believes his rapid development, versatility and performances at the World Cup justified the move.
“We’re delighted to have brought Nathaniel Brown to FC Bayern,” Eberl said. “He has enjoyed such rapid development but still has so much potential and is one for the future. He made his mark at the World Cup and showed why we’ve been looking at him for a while. He’ll expand our options in both defence and midfield.”
Brown joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Bundesliga 2 side Nuremberg in the summer of 2024, and went on to make 75 competitive appearances, scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists across two seasons.
The German-American has earned eight senior Germany caps since making his international debut under Julian Nagelsmann in October 2025. He scored his first international goal in Germany’s 7-1 victory over Curaçao and further enhanced his reputation with a series of impressive displays at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
