President Buhari Returns To Nigeria After 13 Days in London

Media aide Femi Adesina said the delay in Buhari’s return was at the behest of his dentist.

President Mohammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria after spending 13 days in London, United Kingdom.

Buhari arrived in Abuja on Tuesday in a gulfstream jet at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

The president had travelled to the UK on May 3 to attend the coronation of King Charles III.

Buhari was accompanied to the UK by Boss Mustapha, secretary to the government of the federation; Geoffrey Onyeama, minister of foreign affairs; Lai Mohammed, minister of information and culture; and Babagana Monguno, national security adviser.

Although Buhari’s trip was meant to last five days, Femi Adesina, presidential spokesperson, had announced that the president would spend an additional week in London before returning to Nigeria.

Adesina said the delay in Buhari’s return was at the “behest” of his dentist.
