Mohammed Bawa Marwa, Chairman and Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Wednesday urged political parties to make drug integrity test part of the screening requirement for aspirants seeking to contest political offices in the 2023 elections on their platforms.

Reactions have trailed the bill seeking to prohibit the payment of ransom which passed third reading at the senate on Wednesday. The bill which is an amendment of the Terrorism Prevention Act 2013, according to lawmakers would discourage the rising spate of abductions and improve the security situation in the country.
