Olajide ‘Jandor’ Adediran: I Have Not Stepped Down For Anybody in Lagos Guber Race

“We have traversed every ward in Lagos and have been able to sell our candidacy,” he said.

In a press conference held on Thursday, the People’s Democratic Party candidate in the Lagos State governorship election, Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, also known as “Jandor,” refuted rumours of his stepping down from the race. He made it clear that he is not leaving the race for any other contender and does not have any plans to.

In addition, he reiterated the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s call for party members to “go all out and vote just PDP candidates,” making it plain that the party has no partnership of any kind with any other political group.

“We have traversed every ward in Lagos and have been able to sell our candidacy. It is a general election, not an intra party election.”

Jandor urged voters to support him while reiterating his status as an independent candidate without any connections to political oligarchs and his party’s refusal to join an alliance with any other political party.

His assertions were supported by other party officials from Lagos State who appeared at the conference. They also urged the public to elect him as governor of the state.

The PDP candidate was firm in his belief that he will in fact be the next governor of Lagos State despite strong opposition from incumbent governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party.
