Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced that his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, will be released on July 31, coinciding with the 15th anniversary of his music career.
The five-time Grammy Award nominee disclosed the release date in a post on his official X account on Monday.
The album’s title, ORIADÉ, is a portmanteau of the Yoruba words ori (head or destiny) and adé (crown), reflecting themes of purpose, destiny and achievement.
According to the singer, the project represents a period of reflection and gratitude, drawing inspiration from his personal journey towards fulfilling his purpose. However, he has yet to reveal the album’s full tracklist or any featured collaborators.
The forthcoming album is led by the single I Know Who I Be, which was released on June 26. ORIADÉ will serve as the official follow-up to his 2025 album, 5ive.
Born David Adeleke, Davido rose to prominence in 2012 with the release of Dami Duro, the breakout single from his debut album, Omo Baba Olowo. Since then, he has established himself as one of Africa’s biggest music exports, releasing a string of successful albums, including A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), Timeless (2023) and 5ive (2025).
Beyond his music career, Davido is the founder of DMW (Davido Music Worldwide), the record label he established in April 2016. The label has nurtured and promoted several successful Nigerian artistes, cementing its place as one of the country’s leading music imprints.
