Dangote Group has commenced engagement with residents of Ode Omi in Ogun State ahead of a proposed deep seaport project along the state’s waterside corridor.

The company disclosed this in a statement shared on its official social media platform, describing the project as a major step toward economic growth, trade expansion and regional development.
According to the statement, the engagement visit was led by the Managing Director of Infrastructure and Logistics, Captain Jamil Abubakar, who met with members of the host community during a sensitisation session hosted by Oba Folailu Adekunle Hassan.
Dangote Group said the meeting underscored the importance of dialogue, partnership and collaboration with host communities in the execution of large-scale infrastructure projects.

The company noted that beyond infrastructure development, the proposed seaport project is expected to create long-term opportunities in trade, logistics, industrial expansion and job creation.

It also stated that the positive reception from the community reflected growing optimism about the economic prospects associated with the project and the broader development potential for the region.
