Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes has won the 2026 PFA Players’ Player of the Year at the 53rd PFA Awards in Manchester.
Fernandes beat Arsenal trio Declan Rice, David Raya and Gabriel Magalhães, as well as Manchester City duo Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki, to the award.
The 31-year-old enjoyed one of the most productive seasons of his Manchester United career, setting a new Premier League record for assists with 21 during the campaign. He also played a key role in United’s recovery under Michael Carrick, helping the club finish third in the Premier League.
Fernandes had already collected the Premier League Player of the Season and Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year awards before adding the PFA honour, completing an impressive individual awards sweep.
The award, voted for by fellow professional footballers, adds to Fernandes’ Premier League Player of the Season and Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year honours.
