Presidential Candidate for Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA), Moses Adebisi has asserted that he is determined to bring liberty to Nigerians, declaring that the “chariot of the oppressors” is about to sink ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during an interview with ARISE NEWS on Thursday, Adebisi, who is popularly known among his supporters as “Moses”, said his political machinery is already in place to prosecute the 2027 election and deliver what he described as liberty for Nigerians.
“I vet you of the mechanisms, the machineries, the Honda dog approach, the kind of system we’ve put in place to ensure that we prosecute this next general election to bring about liberty for the Nigerian people, “Firstly, congratulations to all the Nigerian people because the ship and the chariot of the oppressors is about to sink in this country.”
Adebisi also presented himself as a candidate capable of defeating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027. “As I, this Moses, as people usually call me, is the only person that has the capacity to defeat and shy defeat the Bola Hametinombo-led APC government come 2027 in Nigeria.”
He said his political movement had deliberately operated without attracting widespread attention and claimed Nigerians would see the impact of the strategy during the next general election. “We have used our submarine approach to get into the system. They never see us coming, including yourself.”
“Nobody saw us coming at all, but we have come anyway. And because we have come, let’s see what will happen in the next general election.”
Adebisi said the DLA had been registered during a period when several political associations were seeking registration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). “The Democratic Leadership Alliance that you see today is the only political party that was registered directly between 2022 down to 2026.”
He also described himself as the youngest presidential candidate and said the party’s chairman was the youngest political party chairman in Nigeria. “The party chairman, as we speak today, is the youngest political party chairman in Nigeria and the presidential candidate of the DLA is the youngest presidential candidate or the incoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the youngest.”
Adebisi said his decision to contest the presidency followed years of grassroots empowerment and political engagement.
He described himself as “Mr. Empowerment.”
“My job is to come to Nigeria, give people free visas to go to Canada, to go to the UK, and all of those places, travel to all the states across the federations to go and give empowerment to our low-income market women.”
He also spoke about an initiative aimed at improving digital literacy among pupils in rural communities after computer-based testing was introduced for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations.
“So we took it upon ourselves to organise what we call the Grassroots Mobilisation on Digital Literacy.”
According to him, volunteers and computer systems were taken to communities to train pupils. “ So my job that time was to send all our computer systems with volunteers in helos and buses to all these villages in Osho, across the southwest, across the north central, including the F-City here, to go and train our pupils.”
He explained that his decision to return to Nigeria and pursue the presidency was influenced by concerns about the country’s leadership and the wellbeing of ordinary citizens.
“They beckon on me that you can’t stay in America and think you’re solving Nigeria’s problem.”
Adebisi said he subsequently studied economic reforms in China and the United States to develop his understanding of governance and economic transformation. “Then I travelled to China to go and study Chinese economic reformation in 1978. I was in Beijing, I was in Shanghai, to ensure that I have the entire manifesto that has built China out of a peasantry to becoming the second superpower today, economically.”
He also said he studied what he described as the American liberty agenda. “And also I did that to the United States of America, to study the American liberty agenda of 1774.”
Adebisi claimed that his political structure played a role in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s return to office in Osun State. “It is my structure, it is my structure that brought Adeleke back in Osho state as we speak today, my structure officially.”
Asked whether he had Adeleke’s support for his presidential bid, Adebisi said his support came from the people he leads. “ I have the support of the people that I am leading, that I told them to go ahead and support him. I have the support of them.”
“And as of the time that I was supposed to move up to OAU, there was no finance. And that was the reason I left Uluwada, Moro, because it’s Uluwada, Moro, not too far from each other. That was the reason I left the Moro now to come to Abuja as of 2012, officially.”
He also clarified that the ISCG University qualification referenced in reports was connected to a specific course rather than his principal academic credential. “My BSA at the ISCG University was an affiliated study centre programme that I did for a specific course that I needed for a master’s programme.”
Adebisi further said he holds an honorary doctorate but acknowledged that he is not a medical doctor. “I have an honorary doctoral degree, but I don’t bandage it around.”
He said his academic journey eventually led to his admission to Harvard University in the United States.
“So GDLI, then IIC, University of Technology in Cambodia, then we keep progressing from there like that till I get my admissions to Harvard University in America.”
