Wangi Mba is Amazon Prime’s New Head of Content for Africa

Amazon Studios has appointed Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, M-Net West Africa’s former Regional Director, as its first Principal Head of Content Acquisition in Africa.

Wangi Mba will oversee content acquisition for Prime Video in Sub-Saharan Africa.

She will also oversee content licensing and commissioning, selection for US and local film and television as well as build the content acquisition pipeline for local and US/Hollywood content across languages.

Meanwhile, American singer Britney Spears is under investigation over misdemeanor battery after a staff member at her home alleged the singer struck her.

Deputies responded to Spears’ home in Southern California after the staff member reported the dispute, however no one was injured.
