Taylor Swift Marries Travis Kelce At Madison Square Garden In Star-Studded Ceremony

Taylor Swift marries Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden as celebrities gather for a closely guarded, star-studded wedding ceremony.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have married in a closely guarded ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York, with family, friends and some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment attending the high-profile event.

The couple exchanged vows on Friday night in a ceremony officiated by actor Adam Sandler, while legendary singer Stevie Nicks performed for guests. Secrecy surrounding the wedding lifted only after a marquee outside the iconic venue displayed the message, “JUST&T MARRIED.”

Rather than having traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen, the couple chose their siblings for the key roles. Swift’s younger brother, Austin Swift, served as her man of honour, while Kelce’s older brother, Jason Kelce, was his best man, according to the singer’s publicist, Tree Paine.

The bride wore a Christian Dior Haute Couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, paired with custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewellery, while the groom also wore Christian Dior Haute Couture.

The wedding united two of the world’s biggest celebrities, bringing together Swift’s global music influence and Kelce’s success as a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Among the guests were actors Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Hugh Grant and Ethan Hawke; models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss; comedian Chris Rock; filmmaker Steven Spielberg; singer Camila Cabello; and author Jenny Han.

Several sporting figures also attended, including Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, running back Kareem Hunt, former NFL star Tom Brady, Seattle Seahawks receiver Cooper Kupp, New York Giants receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, and ESPN personalities Joe Buck and Stephen A. Smith.

Despite the scale of the event, organisers maintained tight security throughout the ceremony. Guests reportedly surrendered their phones before entering the venue, resulting in almost no social media activity from inside Madison Square Garden.

Appearing on Good Morning America, television host George Stephanopoulos, who attended the ceremony, described the setting as remarkably personal despite taking place inside one of the world’s largest entertainment venues.

“As intimate as it could possibly be given it was Madison Square Garden. Really this garden inside the garden, just so beautiful. It’s hard to imagine a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and so intimate.”

His co-host, Robin Roberts, revealed that both Swift and Kelce wrote their own wedding vows.

The choice of Adam Sandler as officiant surprised many. Although best known for films including The Wedding Singerand Happy Gilmore, Sandler has developed a close friendship with the couple in recent years. Kelce appeared in Happy Gilmore 2, while Sandler was also a guest on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast.

Swift and Kelce’s relationship has captivated fans since they began dating in 2023 after the NFL star attended the singer’s Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Outside Madison Square Garden, fans gathered despite the summer heat, hoping to witness part of the celebration.

Lori Powers, who travelled from outside New York City, said Swift’s music had become part of the soundtrack to her life.

“Her music is the soundtrack behind so many amazing moments in my life. Relationships, friends, like my husband and my kids.”

Another fan, Cecily Hall, said the atmosphere reflected the significance of the occasion. “Just being here and witnessing all the energy and the excitement, it’s so much fun. The combination of sports and music makes perfect sense as to why they’re at Madison Square Garden today.”
