Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has called on Nigerians to take personal responsibility for the development and greatness of the country.
Soludo made the call during an Independence Day Thanksgiving Service at St. Faith Anglican Church, Awka, where he stressed that nation building is a collective responsibility.
The governor urged citizens to take practical steps within their communities to drive development and contribute to the growth of the country.
He said national development requires citizens to play their part by contributing positively to their immediate communities and the wider society.
Soludo also commiserated with victims of the recent flooding in the state and called for support for those affected.
The governor said collective action and personal responsibility remain important to building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
