Chairman of Tantita Security Services, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has donated 50 vehicles to support the activities of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Kano State.
The vehicles were presented on Sunday in Kano to support grassroots mobilisation across the state’s 44 Local Government Areas ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of Tompolo, representatives of the movement said the initiative was established to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and communicate the administration’s policies and programmes directly to residents.
The movement plans to establish coordinators and ambassadors at the grassroots, including polling-unit level, as part of its door-to-door campaign strategy.
Receiving the vehicles, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf said they would be deployed across the state to support political mobilisation ahead of the elections.
“These vehicles being presented today will be deployed to support our political structures and groups across the state, across the political local government areas, as we prepare for the 2027 general elections,” Yusuf said.
The governor said mobility was important to effective grassroots political engagement and would enable campaign officials to reach communities across Kano.
Yusuf also called for issue-based and peaceful campaigns, urging political actors to focus on their programmes and records rather than personal attacks.
The Kano donation follows similar activities by the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in other states. Earlier in September, the movement presented 34 campaign vehicles in Katsina and subsequently unveiled 44 vehicles and other campaign materials in Borno.
