Russia Suspected Of Using North Korean Missile In Deadly Ukraine Strike

Russia may have used a North Korean missile in a deadly Ukraine strike, highlighting renewed military ties with Pyongyang.

Russia is suspected of using a North Korean missile in an overnight strike near the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih that killed a family, according to two sources.

The suspected use of the missile comes as Moscow intensifies attacks across Ukraine, with the latest strike suggesting Russia may have received a fresh supply of weapons from Pyongyang.

Russia has previously launched North Korean missiles against Ukrainian targets, but the reported return of such weapons after a lengthy pause points to deepening military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang as Russia expands its missile campaign.

The strike near Kryvyi Rih is part of Russia’s wider aerial offensive, which has increased pressure on Ukraine’s air defence systems and raised concerns over Moscow’s growing access to foreign-supplied weapons.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact missile used in the attack, while officials continue to assess the scale of North Korea’s support for Russia’s war effort.
