Remi Tinubu Celebrates Fathers In Fathers’ Day Message, Hails Role In Building Strong Communities

First Lady Remi Tinubu celebrates fathers, praising their sacrifices, guidance and contributions to family and community development.

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has paid tribute to fathers across the country and around the world, commending their sacrifices, dedication and crucial role in shaping future generations.

In a message marking Father’s Day 2026 on Sunday, the First Lady celebrated the love, strength and commitment demonstrated by fathers in nurturing their children and supporting their families.

According to her, fathers play a significant role in moulding the character, confidence and future of their children through their guidance, protection and unwavering dedication.

“On this Father’s Day 2026, we celebrate the love, strength, and sacrifice of fathers across Nigeria and around the world,” she said.

The First Lady noted that fathers contribute immensely to the development of strong families and communities, stressing that their efforts help lay the foundation for a better society.

“Fathers play a vital role in shaping the character, confidence, and future of their children. Through their guidance, protection, and dedication, fathers help build strong families and stronger communities,” she stated.

Tinubu also used the occasion to recognise father-figures, mentors and role models who continue to impact lives through their support and leadership.

“Today, we honour all fathers, father-figures, role models, and mentors who show up each day, working to provide for their families,” she said.

She further offered prayers and goodwill to fathers, urging them to continue serving as pillars of wisdom and inspiration within their homes and communities.

“May you continue to be a source of wisdom, strength, and inspiration to your families.

“Happy Father’s Day.”

The Father’s Day message was signed by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
