Reggie McFadden, ‘In Living Color’ Comedian, Dies At 57

Reggie McFadden, known for his characters on In Living Color, has died at 57 while living in Tanzania.

Reggie McFadden, the comedian and actor best known for his work on In Living Color, has died at 57.

His sister, Bernice McFadden, confirmed his death to The Hollywood Reporter, saying the U.S. State Department notified the family that he died in Tanzania, where he had lived for several years. His cause of death was not disclosed.

“Rest in peace, fellow comedian, Reggie McFadden,” comedian Tony Luewellyn wrote on Facebook. “Another fallen veteran comedy brother!”

Born in Brooklyn, McFadden appeared on In Living Color from 1993 to 1994, playing several characters on the Fox sketch comedy series.

He went on to appear in television shows including Martin, Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper, Coach, Moesha, Getting Personaland Curb Your Enthusiasm.

His film credits included Jacob’s Ladder and Little Nicky.

McFadden also had a comedy special on Comedy Central and was a regular performer in Las Vegas.

According to his Facebook page, McFadden was the owner of a gold mining company and an entertainment production company in Tanzania.

He had been living in the East African country for several years before his death.
