It’s a new dawn for the governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke as he continues his work in the state, after being reinstated as governor by a court of appeal last week.

Adeleke on Tuesday attended the unveiling of the Nigeria Immigration Service passport office in Ilesa on invitation by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola. Adeleke while speaking during the ceremony proclaimed a new Executive Order to protect Aregbesola who is said to have been at loggerheads with the states former governor Adegboyega Oyetola from being chased out of the state.

Both men were seen showing off their dance moves during the ceremony in display of their union. Controversial singer, Habeeb OkikiOla, popularly known as Portable had a confrontation with the Nigerian Police after they stormed his wine bar, claiming that he had been petitioned at their station but without revealing what it was about.

The singer however resisted arrest, insisting he should have been invited and that he is a federal government liability. Portable also said that he is a superstar and claimed to be working with the APC and so he can’t be arrested without cause.

Professor Nnenna Oti, the current Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology in Owerri, Imo State, received a heroic welcome on Tuesday at the school after she had been hailed for her courage in standing her ground to insist that the peoples votes must count, during the just concluded gubernatorial and house of assembly elections.

Dr Oti was the returning officer of the independent national electoral commission, for the Abia State governorship election. The accomplished scholar is reported to have refused to be procured to cause chaos in Abia State during the elections.

She was welcomed by the staff and students of FUTO, some were chanting songs, others holding banners with the inscription, Welcome back Nnenna Oti, Heroine of Nigerian Democracy. President Mohammadu Buhari, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajiabiamila the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo Olu, and a host of have wished Nigeria’s President elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu a happy 71st Birthday.

Tinubu’s supporters have also been flooding social media with congratulatory messages, some have even written new songs to celebrate his new age. One of them is Jennifer Serano, according to her it will be the first out of nine birthday’s’ that Tinubu would spend as president.
