The victim was rushed to a medical facility for treatment but succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical attention.

Confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abayomi Jimoh, said detectives swung into action after a complaint was lodged by Daniel Moses, another son of the deceased and brother to the suspect.

The police commissioner assured residents that justice would be served, stressing that anyone found culpable would face the full weight of the law.
