Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Nomy, has been disqualified from the reality show following repeated violations of Big Brother’s instructions.
The fashion entrepreneur was removed from the “Show Ya Sef” house on Monday after she failed to comply with directives linked to her bench warmer punishment and was given 30 minutes to pack her belongings and leave.
Nomy, whose real name is Whitney Nneoma Chukwu, had been serving as the week’s bench warmer after finishing last in the Head of House challenge.
As part of the punishment, she was required to remain with a designated bench and wear a bench warmer vest. However, she repeatedly failed to follow the conditions of the punishment, prompting further disciplinary action from Big Brother.
The latest incident came after Nomy again left her assigned bench and vest behind. A Ninja reportedly intervened earlier to retrieve the items, following which Big Brother addressed the continued violation.
Her disqualification follows a series of disciplinary measures earlier in the season.
Big Brother had previously issued Nomy the first strike of the season after she repeatedly failed to comply with instructions. The strike was accompanied by a final warning, with Big Brother stressing that housemates could not choose which rules or punishments to obey.
Her punishment was also previously expanded to include cleaning the toilet and bathroom after she failed to comply with the original bench warmer instructions.
However, following an apology from Nomy, Big Brother later granted her a concession, allowing her to stop sitting on the bench and wearing the bench warmer bib.
The latest disciplinary action now brings Nomy’s time in the competition to an end, making her the latest housemate to leave the Season 11 “Show Ya Sef” house outside the regular eviction process.
Nomy joined the competition as a 26-year-old fashion designer and entrepreneur from Anambra State. She is the founder of the fashion brand Ambition by Witme and had identified gaining exposure for her business and brand as one of her reasons for joining the show.
During her time in the house, she became known for her outspoken personality and confrontational exchanges with some housemates, while her repeated clashes with Big Brother also became a notable part of her journey.
