Insecurity in Nigeria, including kidnappings and acts of terrorism, can be tackled in three months with the use of drones, according to the CEO of surveillance manufacturing company, Propel Aerial Services.

Ademola Lawal, a drone pilot endorsed by both Nigerian and South African civil aviation authorities, said his company has partnered with Nigerian arm forces to manufacture equipment such as long-range drones, and carry out drone operations to secure the country from increasing outbreaks of violence and insecurity.

“If any state was to deploy our services, I can assure you that we can definitely curb out kidnapping within three months,” Lawal told Arise News, pointing to the ability of drones to overcome “dark areas” or shortcomings caused by poor road networks in the country.

“Where we need to get to is the ability to launch long-range drones within the country to be able to secure our borders and make sure we can protect our areas,” Lawal told Arise News.
