According to him,  information gathered indicates that the late Olukoro refused to be kidnapped, saying nobody could command him.

“He(Late Oba Aremu-Cole) refused to take orders from unknown gunmen and even when they shot in the air to scare him, he refused to surrender, nor get scared and in the struggle, they eventually shot him dead”.

Hamzat explained that, the entire people of Kwara must be ready to fight, not pay or surrender to kidnappers, because until kidnappers knows that they won’t get paid, they will never desist from the act.

The group also maintained that the sacrifice of the late Olukoro must not be in vain, adding that, security agencies should take inspiration from the late monarch who continue to fight until the very end.

The group therefore said, “Security agencies must do everything possible to rescue those in kidnappers den and bring the kidnappers to justice”.
