Megan Thee Stallion has confirmed the end of her relationship with Klay Thompson, citing irreparable issues around trust and fidelity while alleging infidelity during their time together.
The rapper announced the split on Saturday, April 25, in a statement, making clear that the decision followed a breakdown in core relationship values.
“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” she said. “Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
Prior to the formal statement, Megan had taken to Instagram Stories with a more pointed message, accusing the NBA star of cheating and expressing frustration over the relationship.
“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house, got ‘cold feet,’” she wrote. “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’????”
She ended the post on an emotional note, writing, “b—- I need a REAL break after this one .. by yall.”
The couple’s relationship had drawn public attention since it began in the summer of 2025, when the pair were first linked. Megan had previously described their initial meeting as a “meet cute” and referred to Thompson as “the nicest person I’ve ever met in my life.”
They made their red carpet debut in New York City in July 2025 and appeared to grow closer in the months that followed. By Thanksgiving, Thompson had named his boat “SS Stallion” after the rapper, and the pair reportedly spent the holiday with his family.
As recently as February 2026, Megan hinted at a possible future together, joking in a video filmed in Milan that she was “manifesting my engagement,” referencing her relationship at the time.
The breakup comes as Megan continues her performance run in Moulin Rouge! through mid-May, marking a shift in focus back to her career following the high-profile split.
