Manchester City began Game Week 2 of the Premier League with a commanding 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Erling Haaland opened the scoring in the 17th minute, heading home Antoine Semenyo’s cross to give City the lead before Rayan Cherki doubled the advantage early in the second half.
Crystal Palace pulled one back through an own goal from City goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, but Cherki restored City’s two-goal cushion shortly after.
Haaland then completed the scoring in the 84th minute, securing his second goal of the night and sealing a convincing victory for Enzo Maresca’s side.
The result gives Manchester City two wins from two Premier League matches and continues their perfect start to the campaign.
