Reactions have trailed the Nigerian Senate’s decision to consider a bill which prescribes a 15 year jail sentence for anyone who pays or receives ransom in the country.

The Minister of Justice and attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami has come under fire on social media for comparing the ban on open grazing by southern governors to the prohibition of spare parts trading in the north.
