Following its recent entry into the Nigerian telecommunications market, Lebara Nigeria has announced a strategic retail partnership with Slot Systems Limited, one of Nigeria’s most established and trusted mobile device and technology retail companies.
This collaboration, the companies said, marks a major milestone in LebaraNigeria’s structured market entry and expansion strategy, following its formal market introduction through a high-level stakeholders’ engagement and a soft unveiling event earlier this year.
With this collaboration, Lebara Nigeria’s SIM cards delivered with its dedicated 0724 number series alongside other products and services would now be available across Slot’s extensive network of stores nationwide, “making it easier for customers to access and onboard onto the network.
By integrating into Slot’s well-established retail ecosystem, Lebara is positioned to reach customers more efficiently while offering a seamless and convenient onboarding experience,” the management stated.
Speaking on the partnership at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two companies at the Jet Ski in Ikoyi, Lagos on Thursday, the Chief Executive Officer of Lebara Nigeria, TeniolaStuffman, said: “Our partnership with Slot is an important step in how we bring Lebara closer to Nigerians.
“As we move from launch into the full market presence, it is critical that customers can access our services through trusted and familiar touchpoints. Slot gives us that reach, while also helping us deliver the quality, convenience, and innovation that Lebara is known for globally.”
She added that Lebara is a mobile virtual network operator in Nigeria, “and we are working here in Nigeria to provide services to customers across the country, and one of the things Lebara prides itself on is what we call Telco Trinity. Lebara will always provide an affordable, reliable, and exceptional customer experience that is exceptional.
“We are hopeful, we are very optimistic that these are the same things we will be doing in Nigeria. The reason why we are partnering Slot today is that we have seen and observed that they have a culture that aligns with what Lebara is doing.
“Slot is across the country. Slot is also very versatile and has customers in mind. So, one of the things they tell you they do is they sell peace of mind. We also own and sell trust to our customers. So, you would imagine that peace of mind and trust align. So that’s the essence of this relationship. We believe that the brand Slot will help Lebara to get faster across the country.
“We believe that in all the offices and locations where Slot is, the Lebaraexperience will be witnessed there as well. And that gives us the confidence that allows us to reach our customers as fast as possible.
“Among the things we’ll be expecting is an affordable, reliable customer experience. Above that, we’ll provide services that Nigerians traveling across countries where Lebara operates are currently experiencing. So, we are here to make sure that the relevance of the digital economy is seen.
“There is wider network coverage. There is an opportunity to go across every nook and cranny of the country. Such that every young one, old one, entrepreneur, and student has access to digital technology. “
Stating that Lebara is an international telecommunications brand operating across multiple global markets, she noted that one thing Lebara also does very well in any of the countries it’s operating- the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and Saudi Arabia-is trust, making sure that customers can trust Lebara. And if you go on Trustpilot, for instance, you will see that Lebara always has 4.95 percent. These are independent people talking about their experience at Lebara.”
In his remark on the partnership and signing of the MoU, the Founder and CEO of Slot Systems, Nnamdi Ezeigbo, said that: “This partnership aligns with Slot Systems Limited’s longstanding commitment to providing Nigerians with access to high-quality mobile technology and digital solutions. By collaborating with Lebara Nigeria, Slot is extending its offerings beyond devices into connectivity, further strengthening its role as a comprehensive technology partner for individuals and businesses. “
