The royal father of Igbesi town in Isin local government area of Kwara state, Oba David Omotayo Oyinloye who was recently regained his freedom from the bandit’s captivity has been cofirmed dead.
Late Oba Oyinloye it was gathered died on the wee hours of Saturday after a brief illness after one week of regaining his freedom from bandit’s captivity.
Recall that, Late Oba Oyinloye was kidnapped at his palace last month by some suspected bandits following a fierce attack with the suspected bandits that invaded his palace.
The ugly development caused a lot of tension within the ancient town of Igbesi and this later prompted the security agencies to storm the ancient town so as to douse tension and more importantly to rescue the late royal father
The mass deployment of the security agencies and local vigilantes into the town however yielded positive results with the release of the late monarch last month.
Sources close to the town told our correspondent yesterday that, since the late royal father regained his freedom, he was said to have taken ill and hospitalised for the medical treatment.
Sources said that, the late monarch was said to have reportedly died on the wee hours of Saturday .
Sources added that, the death of the late monarch has turned the ancient town of Igbesi into a pensive mood.
However, a statement issued yesterday by the Executive Chairman of Isin Local Government Area of the state, Hon. Jolayemi Benjamin Olarewaju to announce the death of the late monarch said that, “On behalf of the Local Government Council, management, staff and the good people of Isin Local Government, regrets to announce the passing of His Royal Highness, Oba David Omotayo Oyinloye, the Onigbesi of Igbesi, after a brief illness.
“The late traditional ruler was a respected custodian of the culture, history and traditions of his people, whose contributions to the peace, unity and development of Igbesi and Isin Local Government will be remembered with deep appreciation.
“His transition is a great loss to the traditional institution, the Igbesi community, Isin Local Government and Kwara State.
“The Council shares in the grief of the royal family, the people of Igbesi and all those who mourn the departure of the monarch”.
The statement added, “We extends, our heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Igbesi community and the entire traditional institution, praying that God Almighty grant the departed monarch eternal rest and give the family and community the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
“May His Royal Highness, Oba David Omotayo Oyinloye, the Onigbesi of Igbesi, rest in perfect peace”.
