King Charles Arrives In Bermuda After Concluding US Visit

King Charles has landed in Bermuda after his US visit.

King Charles III has arrived in Bermuda following the conclusion of a four-day state visit to the United States.
The monarch touched down at LF Wade International Airport in Hamilton, where he was received by senior officials. A guard of honour formed by the Royal Bermuda Regiment welcomed the King, who is visiting the island for the first time as monarch. A full ceremonial reception, including a 21-gun salute, is scheduled for Friday.

The King’s arrival follows a largely successful and carefully choreographed visit to the United States alongside Queen Camilla. The royal couple concluded their trip with a lively community parade in Front Royal, offering a more relaxed and public-facing finale after days of formal engagements in Washington, DC.

In contrast to the tightly controlled diplomatic events earlier in the visit, the Virginia stop featured a festive “block party” atmosphere, complete with marching bands, cheerleaders, vintage cars, and Appalachian clog dancing. The King and Queen also participated in a walkabout, greeting residents and engaging directly with the local community.

The event, marking the 250th anniversary of American independence, showcased small-town culture, including a traditional community meal where the royal couple contributed dishes such as Coronation quiche, Victoria sponge cake, and honey from royal hives.

Earlier, the King and Queen had formally concluded their Washington engagements with a farewell meeting at the White House with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. They also paid tribute at Arlington National Cemetery, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The visit, which included a widely applauded address to Congress, was seen as a significant effort to reinforce diplomatic ties between the United Kingdom and the United States.
