Jamie Foxx Gets Stitches After Being Struck By Glass Thrown During Beverly Hills Dinner

Jamie Foxx has sustained injuries requiring stitches after a glass was thrown at him during dinner in Beverly Hills.

Jamie Foxx sustained facial injuries requiring stitches after being struck by a glass thrown at him during his birthday dinner at Mr. Chow, a popular Beverly Hills restaurant, his representative told the Los Angeles Times.

The incident occurred on Friday night as Foxx celebrated turning 57. According to a statement from his spokesperson, “Someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called, and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”

The Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed officers responded to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon around 10 p.m. on Friday but later determined the incident did not meet that classification.

“Instead, the incident involved a physical altercation between parties,” the department stated. “The BHPD conducted a preliminary investigation and completed a report documenting the battery. No arrests were made.”

Attempts to obtain further details from Mr. Chow on Sunday were unsuccessful.

On Sunday morning, Foxx addressed the situation on Instagram, thanking those who reached out to him. Referring to the altercation, he posted,

“The devil is busy … but I’m too blessed to be stressed.”
