J Martins Urges Peter, Paul Okoye To Resolve Differences Privately

J Martins calls on Peter and Paul Okoye to settle their differences privately following renewed tensions over birthday change decision.

Nigerian singer J Martins has called on twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye to resolve their differences privately, following fresh signs of tension between the two.

Martins made the appeal on Tuesday via X, reacting to Peter’s recent announcement that he had changed his birthday from November 18, a date he has shared with his twin brother for decades, to November 30. The development has drawn attention online, raising questions about the brothers’ relationship.

“These are my brothers for more two decades, i still don’t understand why one will just wake up decades to change his own birthday separate from his twin brother?

@PeterPsquare @rudeboypsquare can we fix these stuff inside our house & not bring this shame on Ndi Igbo nke anyi”

The music star, who has maintained a long-standing relationship with both artistes, urged them to handle their disagreements away from public scrutiny, stressing the need to protect their shared legacy and cultural image.

Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known as P-Square, rose to prominence as one of Africa’s most successful music duos, earning widespread acclaim across the continent before their initial split in 2017.

The brothers reunited in 2021 after years apart and held a comeback concert, but reports of renewed tensions surfaced again in 2024. At the time, Paul alleged that Peter was involved in his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, while Peter raised concerns about issues related to their former management.

J Martins, regarded as a longtime friend and collaborator of the duo, is seen as one of the industry figures with close ties to both brothers, making his public appeal notable amid ongoing concerns about their relationship.

As of the time of reporting, neither Peter Okoye nor Paul Okoye has publicly responded to Martins’ comments.
