Israeli Airstrikes Leave Three Palestinians Dead Across Gaza

Israeli airstrikes leave three Palestinians dead across Gaza, while several others sustain injuries in attacks targeting different areas of the territory

At least three Palestinians have been killed and six others injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting different locations across the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian health officials.

Two people were killed and six others wounded in separate strikes in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, while another Palestinian died in an attack on Al-Mussadar.

The Israeli military confirmed conducting two airstrikes in the territory, saying the operations targeted Palestinian militants. However, it did not disclose further details about the strikes.

The latest attacks come amid growing tensions over the ceasefire agreement, with Israel accusing Hamas of rebuilding its military capabilities and carrying out attacks in breach of the truce. Israeli forces have stepped up strikes against the group in recent weeks.

Hamas has rejected the accusations, denying involvement in attacks or efforts to replenish its weapons stockpile. The group has also accused Israel of repeatedly violating the ceasefire.

The US-brokered agreement, which took effect last year, includes provisions for the eventual reconstruction of Gaza. However, efforts to advance its implementation have stalled amid disagreements over Hamas’s disarmament and the withdrawal of Israeli troops.

Israeli forces currently control approximately two-thirds of the Gaza Strip, following orders for residents to evacuate areas under their control.

More than two million Palestinians, representing most of the territory’s population, are concentrated in the remaining third of Gaza. Many are sheltering in makeshift tents and damaged buildings as widespread destruction continues across the enclave.

Gaza’s health authorities say at least 1,580 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire came into effect. Israel has also reported the deaths of four of its soldiers during the same period.

Palestinian authorities report that more than 74,000 people have been killed since Israel began its military campaign in Gaza following the October 7, 2023, attacks by Hamas-led fighters on southern Israel, which resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths.
