Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has incorporated the titles of all 13 songs on Davido’s newly released album, Oriade, into a message promoting his re-election campaign ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
The governor shared the post on his X account on Friday while travelling for campaign activities, saying he was listening to the album released by his nephew, Afrobeats star Davido. Throughout the message, Adeleke referenced each track title while reflecting on his time in office and expressing confidence about the forthcoming poll.
Opening the post, Adeleke linked the album to his experience as governor over the past three and a half years.
“ON THE ROAD again for the Imole ReElection Campaign, and I’m listening to ORIADE the new Album by my Nephew @davido which is CONSTANTLY reminding me of the AMAZING GRACE that has been MY LIGHT and GUIDE this last 3 and half years that I have been Governor of Osun State.”
He also responded to criticism over his approach to peace and security, writing:
“They say my call for peace is weak, but I KNOW WHO I BE.”
The governor went on to urge supporters to back his bid for a second term, insisting there would be “no vacancy” at the Osun Government House after the election.
“TELL EVERYBODY: Imole is winning his Re-Election on August 15. If you ask JULIE or anyone In Osun State, they will tell you no vacancy in Abeere, those perpetuating violence against our people are ALREADY FALLING.”
He concluded the post with references to the remaining song titles while highlighting tourism in the state.
“B4 B4 it was ZANZIBAR for tourism. Now YAYA and everyone is saying GIMMIE DAT TING in Osun.
“Oh…. YAYA!”
Adeleke’s message blended support for his nephew’s latest musical project with his campaign for a second term as governor, using every track title from Oriade to reinforce his appeal to voters ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
