Immigration and business firms have promoted startup-based pathways to Spain and France as options for Nigerian entrepreneurs seeking to establish businesses and access European markets.

The firms said the programmes, supported by relevant authorities in the two countries, could help qualified Nigerian entrepreneurs navigate legal and regulatory requirements, secure permits and contribute to local economies through business creation.

Speaking during an engagement with the business community in Lagos, the Chief Executive Officer of O&J Capital, Johnson Anorh, said Nigerian entrepreneurs must begin to consider legally expanding their businesses into European markets.

He said structured programmes could help entrepreneurs overcome challenges associated with establishing businesses abroad, including trust, guarantees and bureaucratic language barriers.

According to him, “Expanding abroad often presents hurdles, particularly regarding trust, guarantees, and navigating bureaucratic language barriers. Firms like O&J Capital, iworld and Mirsatori, work closely with Nigerian clients to bridge these gaps by pairing vetted entrepreneurs with comprehensive legal and corporate support structures. By utilizing these structured startup and residency programs, Nigerian entrepreneurs can successfully protect their investments, and establish a permanent commercial footprint across Europe.”

The promoters said their expertise in structured business pathways, including programmes involving Spain’s ENISA and France’s Ministry of Economy, could help Nigerian entrepreneurs establish businesses, enter new markets and explore opportunities in both countries.

The Head of Migration Department at Mirsatori, Maksin Mayer Nikitin, said the collaboration was designed to connect Nigerian entrepreneurs with European markets through startup programmes, tailored business proposals and professional immigration support.

“The partnership is to guide Nigerian business owners through the legal and regulatory requirements for establishing operations in Spain and France respectively. Startup creation could provide an alternative pathway for qualified entrepreneurs in Agriculture, IT, construction and logistics seeking to establish a business presence in these two countries,” he said.

The General Manager of Iworld, Arturs Janis Plepsis, described startup creation as a potential route for entrepreneurs seeking residency while establishing businesses in Europe.

“The way we are promoting here, getting a residency through startup creation is a perfect entry ticket to these countries now as they need partners to help. contribute their own economy.”

He clarified that the initiative was not based on purchasing citizenship but on providing professional guidance for applicants seeking lawful entry and opportunities to establish businesses in Spain and France.

The promoters said the pathways were intended to help Nigerian entrepreneurs explore international business opportunities through formal programmes and comply with the relevant requirements for operating in the two European countries.
